Self-drive trip New Zealand|Baby it’s cold outside…Dunedin

Our final destination of the 7 days self-drive tour South Island was Dunedin. It took us 3-4 hours drive from Te Anau. We were lost instantly as we entered Dunedin from the south, trying to find our way to our motel (Aberdeen Motel) which was located at George Street. Since we don’t have GPS, we relied heavily on a map we bought earlier. 3 girls driving in a stranger land for the first time with only a map in hands was a crazy idea..not a bit wacky and crazy for some but the craziest so far (for us)..

Dunedin is a lovely city. During our visit, there are a few thing I love instantly about Dunedin. First was the cool and mild weather and second was..the skies were exceptionally blue. Truly awesome.

Dunedin closed our road trip before we drove back to Christchurch to catch our flight back home. We truly enjoyed our short 7 days trip to New Zealand. Now after almost 3 months I am still thinking about the trip.

Enjoy the pictures I took around Dunedin town and Larnach Castle (Otago Peninsula).
